Refund a security deposit

Deduct inspection damages and unpaid bills, then pay out the balance with a statement.

  1. On an ended lease press Deposit refund.
  2. Boyoti lists the deposit held, chargeable items from the move-out inspection, unpaid invoices and final utility bills. Tick what to deduct and adjust amounts.
  3. Choose the account and method for the payout and press Refund.
  4. A deposit settlement statement (bilingual PDF) is generated and sent to the tenant; deductions become paid invoices and the refund is a transaction on the account.

If deductions exceed the deposit, the remainder stays as an unpaid invoice on the contact.
