agency.cheques.bounce- Open the cheque and press Bounce. Enter the bank's reason and date.
- The linked invoice returns to Unpaid/Overdue. If a bounce fee is configured (Settings → Billing → Fees) a fee invoice is created.
- The tenant receives the “cheque returned” notification with the amount and how to settle (if enabled in Settings → Notifications).
- When the tenant brings a replacement, add it with Replace on the bounced cheque so both are linked, or record a cash/transfer payment.
Bounced cheques are listed on the contact's profile and in the Collections report. Repeated bounces are a good reason to add a tag or blacklist.
