Renew a lease

Carry the tenant into a new term with a rent change, new cheques and a fresh contract PDF.

Requires permission agency.leases.renew
  1. Open the active lease and press Renew.
  2. The wizard opens pre-filled with the same unit, parties and terms; the start date is the day after the current end date.
  3. Adjust the rent (Boyoti shows the percentage change), the payment schedule and cheques.
  4. Press Create renewal. The new lease is a draft linked to the old one; activate or send it for signature as usual.
  5. When the new lease activates, the old one moves to Renewed automatically.

Renewal offers can be sent to tenants by WhatsApp from the expiring-leases widget with a one-tap “I agree” link that records their acceptance.
