agency.leases.view| Status | Meaning | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Being prepared. | Unit shows Reserved. No invoices. |
| Pending signature | Sent for e-signature or awaiting wet signature. | Reminders to sign. No invoices yet. |
| Active | Signed and started (or activated manually). | Invoices generated, unit Occupied, tenant sees it in the portal. |
| Notice given | Either party gave notice. | Unit marked available from the end date; listings can be published. |
| Expired | End date passed without renewal. | Unit Vacant; deposit refund workflow suggested. |
| Terminated | Ended early. | Remaining invoices voided or prorated; penalties invoiced if configured. |
| Renewed | Replaced by a new lease. | Linked to the successor; history preserved. |
Activate a lease from its page with Activate (permission agency.leases.activate). When e-signature is used, activation happens automatically once all parties have signed.
Thirty, sixty and ninety days before the end date, expiring leases appear on the dashboard and renewal reminders can go to the tenant and the account manager (Settings → Notifications).
